Food truck combats food insecurity in Chicopee, Massachusetts

Aida's Food Truck in Chicopee, Massachusetts is combatting food insecurity in the area. At a giveaway, it distributed more than $85,000 in goods including snacks, fresh produce, hygiene products and body care items, according to a report by WWLP.

Owner Aida Torres and her team received a certification from the mayor's office for her charitable work. Torres plans to expand the impact by attending other events.

"It's in my heart, God gave me a second chance at life," Torres said in reference in an illness she recovered from. "I made a promise to the Lord to go anywhere I have to go to serve my community and my country."
